Multiflex manufactures a large range of both Outboard and Inboard hydraulic steering products for a wide range of applications. All items are manufactured under strict quality controls on ultra modern machinery and are factory tested prior to despatch to ensure reliable service.

They are covered by a 2 year factory limited warranty. Spare parts are available for all components of the system. 4 models are available for outboard engines up to 350 HP.  Options are available on request for fitting to twin or triple engines and other outboard applications. The main components of the MultiSteer front mount hydraulic outboard steering systems are : 

• Front Mount Balanced Cylinder - this mounts to the engine and provides the linear movement to the engine. Made from strong & non-corrosive materials 
• Front Mount Helm pump - piston driven pump which draws and forces the hydraulic steering fluid to the cylinder when the steering wheel mounted on the helm pump shaft is turned 
• Hydraulic Hoses - Multiflex MultiSteer kits use only THERMOPLASTIC hose. This hose has a thermoplastic elastomer inner core with a synthetic fibre braid over it and then a black polyurethane outer cover. 
  • This hose is far superior to standard nylon hose. It has excellent flexibility for complex or small bend radius and has a pressure rating of 70 bar / 1000 PSI. 
• Hydraulic Steering Fluid - travels through the hose tubing from the helm pump to the cylinder and back again to power the system. 2 litres of fluid are included in each steering kit. 

The Multiflex MultiSteer boxed hydraulic steering kits include the following components which in most cases covers the requirements for a single engine installation. These are different sizes depending on the HP rating of the steering kit. 

• Front mount helm pump - size varies in CC capacity and number of pistons depending on HP rating
• Front mount cylinder - varies in capacity depending on the HP rating of the motor
• Quality 8mm (5/16") high pressure flexible Thermoplastic hydraulic hoses - supplied with re-usable end fittings so you can cut the hose to the desired length and easily fit the hydraulic end fitting. 

2 x 5metre hoses on the 115 HP kit & 2 x 7.5 metre hoses on all other size kits. The hose kits include bend restrictors to ensure the hose does not kink at the critical entry point to the cylinder
